Nintendo, the Japanese game console manufacturers, finally announced the price of its newest product, Switch, which was first introduced in October 2016 ago.

In a press conference in Tokyo, Japan, Friday (01/13/2017), Nintendo said that the Switch will be launched on March 3 and will be sold at a price of 299.99 US dollars and 29.980 yen in Japan.

Nintendo Switch itself has two faces, a hybrid engine that can function as a portable gaming device - similar to the PlayStation Vita - and at once transformed into a traditional consoles - like the PS4 or Xbox One - when connected to a television.

However embedding the price of Nintendo Switch by some parties considered too expensive. The Reuters news agency writes that prices Switch is above the market forecast, has been disappointing exchanges, and likely failed to restore the enthusiast gaming that has been ingested temptation mobile games on smart phones.

Nintendo Switch in the US alone is equivalent to the price of the Nintendo Wii U, but in Japan it 20 percent more expensive.

"Sale at a price of about 25,000 yen will be well received in the market, but the price Switch obviously expensive," said Fumio Matsumoto, an analyst at Capital Delton in Japan.

"The machine can be used as a gaming console at home and portable, so it can be understood if valued more expensive. But the software is not enough to be sold at high prices," he added.

According to Nintendo, there are more than 50 game developers will provide 80 specific game title for Switch. Eight of the dozens of games that would have been available when the brand-new console launched in Japan, including "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". (Reuters)
