Suchin Yamatad (64) is one of the first patients to be taken to hospital for fainting after hearing the news of the death of King Bhumibol. Suchin said the presence of King Bhumibol who has been in power for 70 years he regards as his own father.
"I am old. His Majesty King Bhumibol has been in power even when I was born, to lose the same as losing my own father," said Suchin, quoted by Reuters.
Boonruang Triruangworawat, Director General Departement Mental Health said similar things happening in other areas in Thailand. In addition to shortness of breath, dizziness and fainting, there are also people who get angry and aggressive behavior because they think the news lying.
To anticipate unexpected events, the Ministry of Health to provide medical and ambulance tent for mourners who came to the palace. Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, spokesman for the Ministry of Health of Thailand, said the public can call an emergency number if feel any health problems experienced. Meanwhile, it's also worth sufficient rest so that the body remains in a state fit and avoid bad things.
"People can call the emergency number if they start to feel emotionally unbearable and interfere with health," he said.
